Church, people, and parish benefit
The Feoffees provide financial support for the parish church of St Luke's, the churchyard and the ruins of Holy Trinity,
for people in need within the parish, and for other purposes that are considered to benefit the parish of Buckfastleigh.
Applications
Requests are considered by the trustees
Applications may be submitted by organisations or individuals. Each request is considered on its merits by the trustees,
with limited funds directed where they are believed to be most appropriate and beneficial.
How to apply
What to include in writing
For an application to be considered, the following information should be provided in writing.
- The name of the organisation or person applying, including email address, postal address, and phone number.
- The sum requested. Open-ended applications are not accepted, so a specific amount must be stated.
- The intended use of the funding.
- Why the Feoffees are considered the most appropriate funding body, and whether other sources of funding are available in part or in whole.
When applications are considered
The trustees consider applications at their summer, autumn, and winter meetings. Applications may be submitted at any time
of year, but to be considered at a particular meeting they should be received by the relevant deadline below.
Summer meeting
Submit by 1 June
Autumn meeting
Submit by 1 October
Winter meeting
Submit by 1 February
After an award
Successful applicants are expected to provide a short report on the outcome of the award once the funded work or activity
has been completed.
